Kayleigh joined the team this year after excelling in the role of Deputy Clinical Manager at Deeside Care Home. Kayleigh takes great enjoyment from working closely with our residents, their relatives and the team.

Artur is our Head chef. He comes with a wealth of experience in providing the very best homemade, nutritious meals for our residents.

Meet Rosie Mullen, the heart and soul of Rubislaw Park and our dedicated Activities Manager. Rosie oversees our activities team, planning and leading diverse daily events to ensure there’s something for everyone. Beyond enriching our residents’ lives, she tirelessly fundraises year-round to foster a true sense of home and prevent boredom. Rosie’s exceptional dedication and love for our community were recognised when she became the overwhelming winner of our first Employee of the Month award in 2022. With over 25 years of experience, Rosie continues to embody our commitment to providing vibrant and engaging experiences at Rubislaw Park.

Elizabeth MacGillivray joined Rubislaw Park in 2022 and brings over 40 years of experience to our Cults and Cove dementia unit. Her extensive expertise shines through in her role as she oversees medication administration, care plan reviews, and liaises with families, ensuring everyone is cared for to the highest standards.

With over 37 years of experience in nursing, Fiona plays a vital role as one of the Sisters at Rubislaw Park. She is dedicated to providing compassionate care and is regarded as a pillar of strength within our community. Fiona is cherished by residents, families, and staff for her exemplary professionalism and unwavering commitment to ensuring everyone feels valued and cared for. In addition to overseeing care plans and medication, she manages various clinical responsibilities to uphold the highest standards of care at Rubislaw Park.

Sarah Dewars joined the Rubislaw Park team in 2023 and quickly became an integral part of our nursing unit. With a professional demeanor and a compassionate bedside manner, Sarah is cherished by staff, residents, and families alike. She diligently oversees medication management, clinical duties, and essential documentation, ensuring meticulous care and attention to detail for every resident at Rubislaw Park.

Susan McLeod is one of our Sisters at Rubislaw Park, specializing in wound care and bloods. She is dedicated to ensuring everyone receives the highest standard of care. Susan fosters excellent relationships with staff and residents alike, making her a valuable addition to our nursing team.

Clinical Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) Ashleigh Ritchie, our newest addition to Rubislaw Park, specializes in psychiatric care, particularly cognitive impairment and dementia. Since joining, Ashleigh has become an integral part of our team. She works closely with residents, families, and our care team to provide specialized mental health support, including assessments, individualised care plans, and therapeutic interventions.

As a dedicated leader in our nursing unit, I bring hard work, compassion, and passion to everything I do. In addition to my extensive experience, I am specially trained in medication administration and minor procedures, ensuring the highest level of care for our residents.

With over 15 years of experience in dementia care, I lead the Cults and Cove unit with dedication and compassion. My focus is on fostering independence while creating a welcoming and supportive environment for both residents and staff. Additionally, I am trained in medication administration to ensure the highest level of care.

Senior HCA / Team Leader Sijo Thomas began his healthcare journey in 2010 in India before joining our Rubislaw family in 2023. Dedicated to his unit, residents, and staff, he consistently strives to deliver the highest level of care. Sijo is also trained in medication administration, ensuring comprehensive support for our community.

Joan McKenzie has been a cornerstone at Rubislaw Park since its inception, making her our longest-standing member of staff with over 30 years of invaluable experience. Joan is a pillar of knowledge and generously shares her expertise with staff members. Known for her compassionate nature, Joan has a unique ability to put everyone at ease, reflecting her dedication and wealth of experience in every interaction. She is also trained in medication administration, ensuring comprehensive care for our residents.

I joined in September 2024 after moving back to Aberdeen from New York with my family. I worked as secretary for over 10 years and have a vast experience of administration. I thoroughly enjoy interacting with residents and their families.

I joined the Admin team in 2023. I come with a vast experience in admin and thoroughly enjoy working within the care sector.

I joined the team in 2025. I have vast experience in front of house. I really enjoy working within the care sector.

Dave joined the team in 2024. He ensures all building operations run smoothly, contributing to a safe and comfortable environment for everyone.

I joined the team in 2021. I come with a wealth of knowledge and experience. I thoroughly enjoy ensuring that all our residents look and feel their best.

Vicki McKay, our Head Housekeeper started with Rubislaw in 2016. She has excelled in her roles and taken on many additional responsibilities during her time with us. Vicki runs our housekeeping department and is a talented chef, Vicki also collaborates with our full-time chefs in the kitchen, where her home bakes are legendary. Known for her warmth and welcoming nature, Vicki has forged close bonds with both staff and residents at Rubislaw Park.
