Dementia Unit Refurbishment Complete
Our dementia unit has completed its refurbishment and is looking fantastic. The sensory room is now fully operational and offers prescriptive therapy to our residents whilst fully supported by our activity coordinators. Our residents who suffer from a variety of cognitive impairments have found great benefits from this service within the unit.
The dining room has also had a complete redecoration in muted tones which offers a lovely environment for the residents' dining experience.
All bedrooms and rooms within this unit reflect a self-contained accommodation that promotes independent living and allows our residents to retain their identity and promote complete well-being.
The dementia unit is led by RGN Elizabeth MacGillvary, who is supported by team lead Andrei Slabu and Perfecto Galicia.
The team is highly skilled in the care of residents suffering from dementia in Aberdeen and ensures that all of their residents have an individualised care plan which reflects all of their wishes and care needs.
The staff are supported by the wider multi-disciplinary team and ensure a holistic approach to our residents and their families.
We ensure that all of our staff are highly trained and staff within the dementia unit are purely allocated to this unit, this ensures continuity of care at all times.
We look forward to welcoming future residents into our dementia unit to support them in living a fulfilling and happy life at Rubislaw Park. If you'd like to know more about dementia care homes in Aberdeenshire please get in touch to book a tour.
