Families Come Together to Prepare Rubislaw Park’s Garden for Summer

At Rubislaw Park, community spirit was in full bloom as residents, activities staff, and relatives rolled up their sleeves to help prepare our outdoor courtyard and front garden for the sunny days ahead.

As part of a special volunteering initiative, our wonderful relatives joined forces with the activities team to kick-start preparations for a vibrant and welcoming outdoor space. With summer on the horizon, everyone was eager to clear weeds, tidy up planters, and give the garden a fresh new look.

The activities team arranged the day, inviting relatives who were keen to get involved and support the home. The response was heartwarming. Families gathered together, working side by side with residents and staff in a shared mission to create a colourful and relaxing garden for everyone to enjoy.

"It was such a lovely day," said one staff member. "Seeing families come together, chatting and laughing while working alongside our residents, really brought a special energy to the home."

This hands-on day not only helped refresh the garden space but also highlighted the strong sense of community that thrives within Rubislaw Park. The courtyard and front garden are now well on their way to being summer-ready - all thanks to the incredible teamwork and dedication of our extended Rubislaw family.
