Meet Dementia Unit Team Leader, Lynn

Meet Lynn Crockett. Lynn is Rubislaw Park’s Dementia Unit Team Leader who has been a member of our incredible team since March 2020, working between our Cults & Cove Dementia Unit and our Dee & Don Nursing Unit during this time. Lynn adores spending time with residents, whether that’s doing dementia friendly activities such as creating memory boxes and playing board games or tending to their personal needs.

Education

Lynn has specialised training from the University of Stirling for Dementia and is passionate about furthering her knowledge to provide the best possible care to all our residents in the Cults & Cove Dementia Unit. “I’m very enthusiastic about my job and always aim to go above and beyond to see my residents smile!” Every member of our team, including those who work in the Cults & Cove Dementia Unit, receive ongoing training to learn the most up-to-date research and methods to deliver the highest quality of care.

Our Approach to Dementia Care

Lynn spends a lot of her time getting to know our residents living with dementia, as well as their families, ensuring that the care provided by Lynn and the entire team is person-centred for each resident. Our Dementia Unit Team understands that the level of care required will be unique to everyone, therefore a tailored care plan will be created following a thorough assessment of the resident’s needs.
