Meet Rubislaw Park's Relatives' Chair, Sarah Meldrum.

Sarah's mother is a resident in the Nursing Unit at Rubislaw Park, Aberdeen and has been since lockdown during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Sarah understands how hard a decision it is to make for a relative to be admitted to a Care Home. However, Sarah has also found what a good decision it is for both the resident and their family since moving her loved one to Rubislaw Park.

Sarah has been recently appointed as the volunteer Relatives Chair at Rubislaw Park Care Home.

Sarah's role is to act as a liaison between the relatives and Rubislaw Park Care Home and in this capacity, Sarah shall co-chair the regular relatives meetings at Rubislaw Park alongside the Care Home Manager Gayle Duthie. This role is designed to offer support to relatives of current or future residents for peace of mind when it comes to moving their loved one into a care home, or if someone has any concerns, to rectify these.

"I am always very happy to talk with any present or future relatives".

Sarah's contact details can be obtained directly from Rubislaw Park by contacting Reception. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with her if you would like advice on moving a loved one to Rubislaw Park or if your family member is already a resident at Rubislaw Park.
