Our Lovely, Supportive Residents

Bridge of the Dee Book Written by Resident

We are so grateful to announce that some of the lovely family members of our residents have donated to help to support the funds for certain projects being carried out at Rubislaw Park. These in-house projects are designed to better our home and improve our residents' overall experience.

One of our resident's husbands has been busy writing a book all about the history of the bridges and crossings of the Aberdeenshire Dee called Bridges of The Dee and Its Tributaries: Royal Deeside available on Amazon. All proceeds of the book by W Stewart Wilson and Chris Engel will be donated to Alzheimer's Scotland and any additional purchases will be given to Rubislaw Park to contribute to the garden project here at our care home in Aberdeen.

The garden project with help to prepare our garden for the summer months where residents and loved ones can take full advantage. The garden will be beautifully landscaped which will include raised flower beds and green shrubbery and tidied ready for summer events and BBQs to take place.

We have also had another generous donation of £1000 raised from a current resident's loved ones funeral where friends and family donated to Rubilsaw Park. He was the sole carer of a resident who is now living with us, so we couldn't be more grateful, and we will make sure to put the money to good use.
