Recognising our Wonderful Staff at Rubislaw Park

Throwing a Party for Staff at Rubislaw Park

At Rubislaw Park Care Home, our devoted team works extremely hard to deliver first-class care services to the residents. As a reward for this, we will be rolling out a staff treat initiative on the last Friday of every month.

This will be an opportunity to offer our staff a treat to not only reward their hard work but to recognise the continued support and work they display on a 24/7 basis. Treat fridays will not only highlight one member of our team, but it will be an opportunity to embrace the overall team's success and will be celebrated with everyone else in the home.

Our leading activities coordinator, Rosie, has diarised a calendar with several events that are relevant to each month, for example, Valentines Day will be the treat that reflects February, and St Patricks Day for March.

We will also be introducing an ‘employee of the month’ scheme which will celebrate the achievements of one of our devoted employees each month. The nominations of this award will be contributed by the other staff members and residents at Rubislaw Park Care Home.

These efforts offer a chance for us all to recognise the success, strength, and skill of the stabled team at Rubislaw Park Care Home by valuing their hard work throughout the year. Part of that stabled team is Joan, our Senior Care Assistant. Joan works hard in our Ash Residential Unit and we recently celebrated her 30 years of service with us and she is our longest-standing employee!

Her dedication to her residents goes above and beyond and she is always happy to help. Her recommitment to other members of staff is commendable, and she always has a good laugh with the residents by telling a joke or offering reassurance.

The team at our care home have worked extremely hard especially with the impact of COVID-19, dealing with two outbreaks with dignity and true professionalism and working long hours.

To ensure our team remains motivated throughout these difficult months it is important they feel rewarded, recognised, and valued. Our recent partnership with award-winning social enterprise Oomph allows our residents and staff to engage in a holistic world of wellbeing. The digital platform provides free engaging exercise and activity content, so we can ensure our staff's wellbeing is prioritised at all costs.
