Rubislaw Park Wins Home Manager of the Year
Last Thursday evening, a few of the staff from Rubislaw Park attended the group's care awards. Gayle Bain, Rubislaw Park's Home Manager was a divisional winner for 'Home Manager of The Year', and we are thrilled to announce that Gayle won the overall award for 'Home Manager of The Year' on the night.
The award was to be given to an outstanding individual who has demonstrated effective leadership in the delivery of quality care. Gayle was deserving of the award as she demonstrated the following:
- Shown vision in developing person-centred care and supporting staff to meet the changing needs of residents
- Supported, coached, and developed staff
- Reflected on what could be better and supports others to bring about change
- Been an ambassador of the home
The award was presented by Manpreet Johal and Gayle was thrilled to accept the award while the whole room applauded.
Gayle has proven herself to be a strong, committed leader whose actions demonstrate how much she cares for her team and residents.
Gayle has implemented lots of innovative work during the pandemic to improve the physical, mental health, and wellbeing of the residents and has embedded a culture and ethos of care and work with her team.
She promotes an open-door policy and is always supportive of her staff and her motto is ‘Leadership is not about being the best, leadership is about making everyone else better.' Staff, residents, relatives, Care Inspectorate, and the Partnership cannot praise her enough for her leadership and managerial judgment which have been instrumental in making her home one of the best rated in the city.
